Beta disclosure. This describes exactly what the UNBX beta does today.

What we collect

Your email address and sign-in details, the photos you choose to scan, the items saved in your stash, feedback you send us, and basic usage events (for example: a scan started, a scan completed, an item saved) so we can tell whether the app is working.

Standard technical information such as your IP address, device type and app version is received when the app connects to our servers.

AI photo analysis

When you scan an item, the photo you selected is sent to our AI processing providers — currently Lovable's AI infrastructure and Google Gemini — to identify the item, assess condition, estimate value and suggest a next move.

Nothing is sent until you have agreed to this in the app. You can withdraw that agreement at any time in Settings; scanning stops working until you agree again.

AI results can be wrong. Identification, condition, potential grade and value are estimates, not facts about your item.

Market, pricing and grading information

To look up what an item may be worth, UNBX sends only the details needed to find that item in a pricing catalogue — things like the category, game, year, set, item or card number, player or character name, variation and grade.

Your name, email address, sign-in details and your photos are never sent to a pricing provider merely to look up a price.

Pricing and grading information supplied by third parties may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate. Each provider is named in the app next to the figure it supplied, and we list active providers below as integrations are switched on.

Service providers we use today

Active: Lovable and Lovable Cloud (app hosting and backend), Supabase (database, sign-in and photo storage), Google (sign-in, and Gemini for photo analysis), and JustTCG for trading-card market pricing once that integration is switched on for your account.

Not active: GoCollect, WorthPoint, GemRate and eBay market data. These are not connected and receive nothing from UNBX. We will update this page before any of them is enabled.

Where your things are stored

Photos are kept in private storage that only your account can read. Your items, values and recommendations are stored in our database, protected per-account.

Referrals and partners

If you arrive at UNBX through a partner's referral link, we record the referral code, an anonymous visitor and session identifier, and the steps that follow — signing up, scanning an item, choosing a selling or grading move, and any completed sale — so the partner who introduced you can be credited.

Partners see counts, leads and their own commissions only. They never see your name, email address, photos or the contents of your collection.

What we don't do

No advertising. No cross-app or cross-site tracking. No selling or sharing your data with data brokers. We do not use your photos to train our own AI models. How long our AI providers retain material sent for analysis, and whether they use it for their own model training, is governed by their own terms — we do not make a promise on their behalf.

Deleting your account

Deleting your account in Profile permanently removes your login, every photo and cropped image you uploaded, and every item, value, recommendation and event tied to you. Anything we must keep for financial or legal record-keeping is stripped of the link to you.
