Coins and stamps

Coins need both sides photographed: the mint mark, date and wear pattern decide the grade. Never clean a coin — cleaning almost always lowers its value.

Melt value is what the metal alone is worth. Collector value can be far higher, or the same.

Stamps depend on perforations, gum and centring, so a flat, well-lit photo matters.
